20’s Plenty for Us!
The PC is preparing its Local Highways Improvement bid to Cambridgeshire County Council.
The article in August SCAN and PC Newsletter focussed on “20’s Plenty for Us” – a national campaign to introduce 20mph limits in residential areas.
Following a suggestion from a resident and discussions with a Cambridgeshire Highways officer, the PC is looking to introduce a 20mph speed limit in Church Street, Manor Road, Church Close, Norman Drive and St Marys Road as well as all the small roads off these.
Village support for this is important so please let us know if you would support such a scheme.
The risk of injury to pedestrians is much reduced by decreasing the speed limit from 30 to 20mph.
